Tips and quirks

A scan stores the wallet as it was at that moment; it is not live. The result header shows when it was taken (Cached · 2h ago, Just synced). Refresh adds only the activity since the last scan, so it is usually quick. A scan saved under an older version of Eye may need a Full re-scan instead; Eye says so when you open it.

Use the address from the trader’s profile

Section titled “Use the address from the trader’s profile”

Copy the wallet address from the trader’s Polymarket profile page. If Eye says This address is valid but has no Polymarket activity, it is usually not the address that trades. Eye takes addresses only; an AI assistant connected to Polysider can also find a wallet by its profile name.

A scan reads a wallet’s full history up to the most recent 200,000 trades. A wallet over that shows FULL SCAN · CAPPED and a warning that some early history may be left out, so lifetime totals can be incomplete. Wallets with more than 100,000 trades get a can take several minutes notice: you can leave the page and come back.

Leaving the scan page, or pressing Cancel, only stops you waiting. A scan that has started keeps running, is saved, and counts toward your allowance.

Free accounts have 100 scans per rolling 24 hours (currently). The hint reads scans today, but each scan frees up 24 hours after you used it, not at midnight. When you are out, Eye tells you when the next one frees up. Opening a stored scan is always free.

Why P/L can differ from the Polymarket profile

  • Include rewards (on by default when the scan has the data) shows the all-in P/L: the profile figure after fees, plus liquidity rewards, maker and taker rebates, referral and yield income. Untick it to see the profile figure.
  • The profile figure itself is sampled periodically by Polymarket, so it can trail the last few hours of trades.
  • Open positions count at their current value, which moves until the market resolves.

Positions in markets the wallet never bought

Section titled “Positions in markets the wallet never bought”

The activity can include splits, merges and conversions. These create or remove shares without a buy, so a wallet can hold, sell or redeem shares in a market it never bought. This is expected, not a scan error.

Win rate is the share of resolved positions that finished in the green. A position closed in a market that has not resolved yet counts as neither a win nor a loss until it resolves. Tiny wins under a dollar are left out as noise.

Direct transfers count in Deposited | Withdrawn

Section titled “Direct transfers count in Deposited | Withdrawn”

The Deposits · Withdrawals card includes direct transfers from or to another Polymarket wallet, not just deposits and withdrawals. Some transfers between two wallets carry no label at all, so the totals can miss money a trader moved between their own accounts; the card says when the balance and the P/L don’t add up. In the activity list, these rows are type TRANSFER.

An archetype describes a pattern, not a person

Section titled “An archetype describes a pattern, not a person”

An archetype badge names a trading pattern the data shows, such as Whale or Scalper. It says nothing about who the trader is or why they trade that way. Insider in particular proves nothing: it means the wallet’s record is suspiciously sharp, not that anyone had inside information.

CopyScore measures copyability, not quality

Section titled “CopyScore measures copyability, not quality”

CopyScore asks could a follower repeat this?, not is this trader good? A very profitable wallet can score low, for example when it holds for only minutes or works as a market maker, because a copier would not get the same fills.

The result page’s chart and activity filters, and the leaderboard’s Deep Filter, are written into the page address. Copy link shares exactly the view you see, and a bookmark keeps it.

PNG export captures the result page with your filters

Section titled “PNG export captures the result page with your filters”

Download image (PNG) captures the whole result page at full height, with the filters and chart settings you have set, and a Polysider Eye stamp. It leaves out the controls, the activity list and the warning banners, so add a note yourself if a scan was capped.

Every plan is a one-time payment. Buying again adds the new period on top of the time you have left. See Plans and payment.

The CopyScore leaderboard shows wallets with a fresh full scan, sorted by CopyScore. A wallet that falls outside its requirements is kept off the board; its CopyScore still shows on its own page.
